Our elders are a true blessing. Their love and devotion to God has been displayed in their lives, both personal and family, and it continues to be demonstrated in the way they lovingly care for the Lakeside congregation. According to the Scriptures, these men are servant leaders who lead from the front, constantly looking after the spiritual well being of each and every individual member in the Lakeside family.
Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood. (Acts 20:28)
Our deacons are special servants who are charged by our eldership to carry out specific areas of ministry. They are called upon to minister in ways that range from caring for the widows and shut-ins to making sure our worship services run smoothly. These are special men, who are workers in the Kingdom, and we are so very grateful for their love for the Lord and their desire to serve Him in whatever way they possibly can.
For those who have served well as deacons obtain for themselves a high standing and great confidence in the faith that is in Christ Jesus. (1 Timothy 3:13)
